COVID-19 Awareness:
SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® fight against COVID-19
Since March 2020, the country has been battling the ever-mutating COVID-19 virus. The pandemic has wreaked havoc on the Indian healthcare system, largely affecting the disadvantaged and marginalized groups. The COVID-19 crisis has now become more than just a health crisis; we are faced with increased poverty, internal migration, and loss of livelihood for millions. SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® has been working to respond to these challenges in 15 Indian states, since April 2020.
SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® will also continue supporting livelihood restoration and ensure food security for marginalized families that have been economically affected by the pandemic.

Fighting the 2nd COVID-19 wave, Getting Ready for the 3rd:
Since April 2021, responding to the 2nd wave of the COVID-19 pandemic,SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® is equipping government healthcare centers with essential medical equipment and supplies such as Oxygen Concentrator and masks, Bipap Machine, Glucometer, etc. to help them serve as COVID Care centers. We are also providing frontline workers with PPE and essential medical kits and training ASHA workers so that they can serve patients better.
We are supporting marginalized communities with food, hygiene, and psychosocial support and improving the affordability and accessibility of the COVID -19 vaccination. SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® will also continue supporting livelihood restoration and ensure food security for marginalized families that have been economically affected by the pandemic.
According to the scientific community, children and adolescents may be vulnerable in a potential 3rd wave of COVID-19. Therefore, SUKRUTI SWAYAM SEVA SAMSTE® is setting up child-friendly COVID care centers and providing appropriate medical equipment to Urban Pediatric COVID treatment centers. Additionally, we are working with medical professionals to establish children-appropriate COVID care protocols. We are drawing up action plans with the existing community groups and systems to manage and safeguard the well-being of COVID-19 affected children.
